Hey all, VICE here! I'm hosting a one shot this Tuesday and as predicted the anxiety is hitting me like a truck LOL. So I wanted to come to the community for advice; as prior to this I've never hosted anything in person. I'm pretty scared I'll fumble the ball so subsequently any and all advice is welcome.

How do you manage the time? I don't wanna end too early nor do I wanna go way over the time limit.

I'm pretty nervous about managing physical tokens and monster sheets in the midst of combat too, since I've never done that before, so some advice would be appreciated there too. Thanks in advance!

The last session I ran, yeenoghu sent some forces to invade a town and the party managed to defend with minimal casualties.

They all managed to defeat several gnolls, a couple of hezrou demons, barlguras, and Vrocks.

Enjoying how creative my players are becoming, the whole encounter ended with the barbarian/druid who had cast the jump spell and wild shaped into a bear and leaped across half the map to finish off the last demon. It was epic!!!

Hello i am new to the group just wanted to make a post introducing myself and my group playing. this is my first campaign that i am running as a dungeon master and we are on session 23. this is the decent into avernus module and everyone in in the group is loving the story telling. this was a side-quest that i had homebrewed for one of my players to get a magic item for their character. it involved each member of the party to overcome an obstacle in their selective doors/rooms to enable the main portal that held the magic item to open. but as the portal opened one last boss fight had to occur against their patron Djinn to retrieve the item.

I've been running a campaign with teenagers for a year now. A new player is about to join our group as a Bard. They will meet in a tavern of course while the bard is competing in the tavern's monthly Bard Off! There will be singing, short stories and poetry. A different mysterious bard will enter the contest and recite a poem about the player characters, so a

mystery to solve...also, a tall blond human bard named Tay Tay Swift will perform, maybe a song about Karma...I'm excited to run this session!
