Dark Artistry: A Horror Inspired Painting Competition Submission Deadline

How to Enter:

Entry to the competition is easy! Simply bring your best horror inspired miniature and your $5 entry fee to Side Quest Games between September 16th and October 13th. We will put your submission safely on display, along with a placard displaying your name and the title of your piece. Once voting has concluded on October 28th, you will be able to pick up your entry from Side Quest Games. All entries must be sumbitted in person.

Competition Rules:

1) All entries must be received during the designated entry window. No late or early entries will be accepted.

2) All entries must comply with the theme of the competition. This can be achieved using effects, color, the model itself, or whatever else you can come up with. We encourage all of our contestants to get creative and have fun with the theme! 

3) Due to space constraints, only one model may be submitted per contestant. Small dioramas featuring multiple models on a single base are allowed. If your unsure if your planned entry fits these paramiters, please contact an organizer for confirmation before submitting your entry.

4) You may submit any model from any gaming system, including 3D printed models, as a competition entry.

5) All submissions must be painted by the artist submitting the piece to the competition. We have no doubts that your comissioned piece may be gorgeous, but this contest exsists to showcase the miniature artists in our community. Failure to respect this rule will result in disqualification from this competition, and future competitions.

Voting Rules:

1) Voting will open at 11 am on October 14th, and close on October 28th at 7pm. All qualifying votes must be cast during this time. 

2) You will have two opportinities to vote for your favorite miniatures in this competition. All participating voters will be able to cast one digital vote, and one in-person vote. Digital voting will be handled via the Side Quest Games Discord server.

3) You may vote for two different entries, or the same entry twice.

4) In person and digital votes will be counted equally. 

Announcing Winners:

Winners are decided via community votes and will be announced via the Side Quest Games Instagram (@Sidequest_socal) on Live Stream at 8pm on October 28th. We'll be taking the time to show off everyones spooky submissions during this stream, so make sure to stop by!
